Trout Lake is a deceiving name for this pristine, high country lake that supports 7 different kinds of fish. In the fall, the green color is an indication that the lake is “turning over”. The bottom moss laden water is coming up to the surface and the top water is sinking to the bottom. It really happens and it is an interesting natural phenomenon to read about.
